Passing URL (ECHOHEADERS.JWS?METHOD=LIST) in TM1 Web displays TM1 server hostname

Troubleshooting

Problem

In IBM Planning Analytics TM1 Web (Planning Analytics for Spreadsheet Services), passing the following URL displays the hostname of the TM1 server during error handling: https://<tm1_server_name>/tm1web/tm1web/EchoHeaders.jws?method=list

Resolving The Problem

This issue is seen in an upgraded environment only. Users upgrading from TM1 Web version 2.0.73 or older to a later version must make changes to their web.xml file to add the fix.

To resolve this issue, the web.xml file must have JWSExistenceFilter (filter name/class and filter mapping).

If your web.xml file does not have JWSExistenceFilter, follow these steps to add the fix:

  1. Check for web.xml.new in the following file path:  C:\Program Files\IBM\cognos\tm1web\webapps\tm1web\WEB-INF
  2. Merge the contents of file web.xml.new with web.xml or rename web.xml.new as web.xml.
