Problem
TM1 servers not visible over Architect/Perspectives post configuring custom SSL over Planning Analytics data tier.
Symptom
-- TM1 servers are visible and accessible over other clients such as Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services and Planning Analytics Workspace.
-- Issue persists even post launching TM1 Architect/Perspective as Administrator ruling out any permission issue.
-- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication SP800-131 is disabled over both TM1 Admin server and TM1 data tier.
Cause
The custom certificates used to configure SSL over data tier are not compliant with the standard as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication SP800-131. Please refer the following link for details.

TM1 clients by default also operate in SP800-131A encryption standard, since the custom certificate deployed does not comply with the SP800-131A encryption hence Architect/Perspective is unable to communicate with TM1 Admin server and TM1 server.
Resolving The Problem
SP800-131A encryption standard should be disabled over clients by following the steps listed below.
-- Create a file named tm1api.config in both the \bin\ and \bin64\ folders in client's install directory.
-- Update the contents of the tm1api.config file with the following:
NIST_SP800_131A_MODE=F
-- Launch Architect/Perspective and test the issue.
