IBM Call Home Connect Anywhere is IBM’s mobile application for Android and iOS that allows IBM hardware clients to view and monitor key status indicators about their Call Home-enabled IBM hardware assets. The app displays information about critical and warning cases and alerts, warranty and contract status, and last contact status. Select an asset to display details such as its type, model and serial number, machine name, product category, and customer number information. Download the application from the Apple and Google App Stores.

To use Call Home Connect Anywhere, you must first be registered in our website, IBM Call Home Connect Cloud. Go to www.ibm.com/support/call-home-connect/cloud and follow the instructions on the home page to register your assets. After your registration is processed, your assets appear in the mobile application the next time you sign in.

Frequently asked questions

Why must I register on the Call Home Connect Cloud website first?

The registration process allows clients to list the assets they want to register (by machine type, model, serial number, customer number and country code), as well as to provide information about their organization and other colleagues whom the client wants to have access to those assets in Call Home Connect Cloud or Call Home Connect Anywhere.

Why must I sign in with IBMid?

For Call Home Connect to associate you with your organization and assets, we must be able to identify you uniquely. IBMid is IBM’s single-sign-on authentication service, which all IBM applications use.

As of 15 March 2022, IBM requires “two-factor authentication”, meaning that after you enter your login credentials, IBMid will send a one-time passcode to the email address associated with your IBMid account. You must copy that passcode from the email and paste it into the authentication form to complete the sign-in process. After you sign in successfully, the app displays the assets you registered with Call Home Connect Cloud.

How can I get help with the app?

Tap the app’s menu icon and select the “Contact Us” option. Your device’s email app opens with a new message addressed to our help desk. Do not edit the To: or Subject: lines, but enter your inquiry and send the email. Our help desk responds during US business hours.
