Problem
If you deactivate a score that is built in Maximo Health, Maximo Predict, and Maximo Health and Predict - Utilities, navigate to another part of the application, and then navigate back to the score details and reactivate that score, asset scores do not always update with the correct data. Similarly, the Recalculate scores action does not immediately update the scores for specific assets.
Cause
All scoring groups rely on asynchronous calls to trigger jobs that update scores. These calls are put into a queue to be run when all previous calls are done. However, certain environments take longer to handle these calls as there can be multiple calls going on in the background. This process results in a large workload for the system to handle first.
The recalculation call is being made, but the call requires more time than usual to be run and fulfilled. It cannot be said with certainty how long it takes as each system can have different factors affecting its performance.
Resolving The Problem
In a scoring group, in the Scores table, you can use the Recalculate scores button to recalculate all active scores for that particular scoring group. This button is similar to the Recalculate scores action for specific assets, except it applies to all assets in the group and bypasses the queue to run the call immediately. However, if many assets are being updated, it can still take time to complete a call. In that case, the Recalculate scores button remains in a loading state to indicate that the recalculation is still in-progress.
