Troubleshooting
Problem
After you update the WebSphere Application Server administrator (WASAdmin) password in the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console, Db2 password update fails.
Symptom
When you update the Db2 password in the IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager (GKLM/SKLM) GUI, the following error is displayed:
CTGKM3449E The database password cannot be changed because of an internal error. Check the debug log for more information.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve this error, update the WASAdmin password in the GKLM/SKLM GUI, and then update the Db2 password.
To do so, complete these steps:
- Log in to the IBM Security Key Lifecycle Manager graphical user interface.
- Update the WASAdmin password.
- On the header bar, click SKLM User and select Change WebSphere Application Server Password. SKLM User is the user with which you logged in to the graphical user interface.
- In the Change WebSphere Application Server Password window, type the new password.
- Click Change User Password.
- Update the Db2 password. See Updating Db2 password for a stand-alone IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager server.
