PH42238: CHINIT HANG DURING SHUTDOWN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During QMGR startup and after the CHINIT starts, the AMSM
  address space has an issue causing the address space to
  terminate which also results in the QMGR shutdown. During this
  time there is a potential timing issue where the CHIN
  dispatcher tasks are being attached and are connecting to the
  QMGR but result in a MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE since the QMGR is
  shutting down.
  During the CHINIT shutdown, it fails to post
  the xGwa.lPSCtrlECB to notify the Pub/Sub offload task that
  termination is required. This leaves the CHINIT jobstep TCB
  waiting forever for the Pub/Sub offload task to terminate.

  Upon CHINIT startup, the pub/sub offload task waits on an ECB
  posted by supervisor initialisation, however if no dispatchers
  start (such as if the QMGR is terminating), this ECB is never
  posted and the CHINIT hangs indefinitely.
  

Problem conclusion

• xGwa.lPSCtrlECB is now posted upon CHINIT termination.
