IJ36881: THE METER DATE IN LOCATIONS IS NOT COPIED TO THE ASSET.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When past date entered in last meter reading date field under
  meters tab of location application, it  is not updating the last
  meter reading date to the same date under the meter tab of
  Asset Application.
  
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  
  1. Go to Asset Application, select any asset number. Under
  Asset Meter tab, associated with ?Continuous? meter. Don?t enter
  the Last meter reading and  Last meter reading date.
  Asset: 61001
  Location: FLTGAR
  Meter : RUNHOURS
  
  Meter type : CONTINUOUS
  
  Average Calculation Method: ALL
  
  Reading Type : ACTUAL
  
  Accept rolldown from : LOCATION
  
  
  2. Navigate the Locations application, select the location of
  asset from step 1.
  
  Associate the same meter which you have selected in Step 1.
  
  Meter : RUNHOURS
  
  Meter type : CONTINUOUS
  
  Average Calculation Method: ALL
  
  Reading Type : ACTUAL
  
  Now the last reading and last reading date are entered. Save
  the record.
  Last Reading: 123.456
  Last Reading Date: 10/20/21
  
  3. Navigate to Asset application, select the asset record which
  you have selected in step1.
  
  
  Expected Result: Last meter reading (123.456) and last reading
  date(10/20/21) is updated in Asset Meters which is inherited
  from location application
  
  
  Result: Meter reading is updated in Asset Meters which is
  inherited from location application, but last reading date is
  not inherited from location application instead system populated
  the current date.
  
  Also in Manage meter reading History dialog box of Asset
  application, last reading is populated from location application
  but last reading date is current date.
