Question
Does Guardium support monitoring of Oracle Database In-Memory instances?
Answer
Oracle has introduced the Database In-Memory (Database In-Memory) feature starting with 12cR1. According to Oracle, it uses a dual-format architecture where the tables can be "simultaneously represented in memory that uses traditional row format and a new in-memory column format. The Oracle SQL Optimizer automatically routes analytic queries to the column format and OLTP queries to the row format". The column format is stored in the In-Memory Column Store.
This feature is tested and supported by IBM Guardium for versions 10.6 through 11.4.
