Error code ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap in Performance Modeler when configuring rights

Troubleshooting


Problem

The following error is seen when configuring rights in Performance Modeler:
An error occurred during a connection to server.domain.com
Cannot communicate securely with peer. No common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)

Resolving The Problem

  1. Open and edit the 'PerformanceModeler.ini' file
    *File location on Cloud (rich tier): C:\tm1\perfmodeler\bins\bin_10.#.#.####\
  2. Add this line to the end of the file:
    -DFORCE_RIGHTS_SWT_BROWSER=true
  3. Save the change and close the text editor
  4. Restart Performance Modeler and reattempt to manage rights
