IT39030: TSS:500 MESSAGES WHILE VIEWING APPLICATION GROUPS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Storage Insights users encounter TSS:500 errors when trying to
  view their application groups.
  The cause of this is that the data returned by the probe jobs
  (for the resources identified in the application group) does not
  persist, which causes the most recent snapshot data to be marked
  as inactive. Without active snapshots to pull data from, the
  application group fails to populate the GUI view, and the
  observed TSS:500 message is presented to the GUI.
  The fix for this issue is to change the processing logic
  internal to the TSS service, to avoid this kind of failure.
