PI84422: CAE AGENT DOESN'T DETACH CREATED THREADS WHICH MAY LEAD TO HANG AND MESSAGES "EDC5112I RESOURCE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE" IN LOG

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Each time when new socket on CAE Agent is opened to process CAE
  Server's requests, CAE Agent creates new joinable thread. When
  socket is closed, assosiated thread must be detached. CAE Agent
  doesn't detach created threads. As result, variable MAXTHREADS
  is increased each time when new socket is opened. When
  MAXTHREADS reaches maximum value, CAE Agent becomes unavailable
  and can not process any requests from CAE Server.

  CAE Server has internal sockets pool for each CAE Agent and new
  sockets are opened not for each request from Server. Socket in
  pool is closed if it was unused during 10 minutes. This fact
  hides threads leakage and usually this issue can be reproduced
  only when CAE Agent is active during very long time.
