**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: This APAR affects three categories of users: 1) Uses of WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition V7.4.0.3 or later, who have set the property "enableFunctionalFixPack" in the installation.properties file to either the value "7043" or "7.0.4.3" and are transferring data from a relative Generation Data Group (GDG) file on z/OS. 2) Users of WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer V7.5.0.2 or later, who have set the property "enableFunctionalFixPack" in the installation.properties file to either the value "7502" or "7.5.0.2" and are transferring data from a relative Generation Data Group (GDG) file on z/OS. 3) Users of WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer V8 who are transferring data from a relative Generation Data Group (GDG) file on z/OS. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a new transfer request was submitted to transfer a relative Generation Data Group (GDG) file on z/OS, the name of the source file was interpreted as the relative GDG name (for example FILE.NAME(0) ) instead of the absolute GDG name (e.g. FILE.NAME.G0001V00).
Problem conclusion
The WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition and Managed File Transfer agent has been modified to use an absolute filename (e.g. FILE.NAME.G0001V00) instead of the relative name (e.g. FILE.NAME(0)) when transferring data from a GDG file on z/OS. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v7.0 7.0.4.5 v7.5 7.5.0.5 v8.0 8.0.0.2 The latest available FTE maintenance can be obtained from 'Fix List for WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition 7.0' http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27015313 The latest available MQ maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
