Uninitialized strings causes incorrect names to display in the IBM Planning Analytics for Excel ribbon

Problem

Incorrect names are displayed for buttons in the IBM Planning Analytics for Excel ribbon.

Cause

If you are seeing incorrect names in the Planning Analytics for Excel ribbon, this can be caused by uninitialized strings in your environment. 

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, you need to delete the LanguageResources folder:
  1. Close all Microsoft Excel windows.
  2. Access the AppData folder in your file directory.
  3. Navigate to the Office Connection folder (C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Cognos\Office Connection).   
  4. Delete the LanguageResources folder.
  5. Restart Microsoft Excel.
