APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
    A safety plan that has been previously duplicated, will error
    when you try to delete the Work Asset. At the time there are no
    associated hazards, precautions or Tag Outs.
    
    BMXAA3629E - Cannot delete work asset, it is linked to other
    business objects.
    
    REPRODUCTION STEPS
    
    1. Safety Plan -> Use a Safety plan with 1 Hazzard and 2 Tag
    Outs
    Example: Demo Data SPLAN2
    
    2. Confirm Safety Plan has Work Asset: 11430, TAB Hazard and
    Precautions -> Hazard: Heat1, Precaution: GLOVES, TAB Tag Outs->
    Hazards: FLOW, ELECTRIC and Tag Outs for FLOW: NOFLOW01
    
    3. More Actions -> Duplicate Safety Plan -> DUBSP01 Save
    
    4. Delete Work Asset: 11430
    System Message BMXAA3629E - Cannot delete work asset, it is
    linked to other business objects.
    NOTE: This is expected as Hazards and TagOuts are present.
    
    5. TAB Hazards and Precautions -> Delete HEAT1 Save
    
    6. TAB Tag Outs -> Delete FLOW and ELECTRIC
    
    7. TAB Safety Plan -> Delete Work Assets 11430
    
    System Message BMXAA3629E - Cannot delete work asset, it is
    linked to other business objects.
    
    RESULTS: There are now no Hazards, Precautions, Hazardous
    Materials or Lock Out / Tag Out procedures, but the work asset
    still cannot be deleted, even after leaving the Safety Plans
    application and refetching the safety plan.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS: If there is no hazard, hazardous material or
    tag out records being displayed you should be able to now delete
    the work asset.

Local fix

  • The error will not occur if you delete the Tag Out Procedures
    first, before deleting the Hazards on the Tag Outs tab.
