APAR status

Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
    BMXAA5739E - The application service does not have a method
    which can be resolved to clearClassification
    
    PROBLEM:
    After enabling the Classification Search in Advanced Search for
    the Assignment Management app, the Clear Classification throws
    error "BMXAA5739E - The application service does not have a
    method which can be resolved to clearClassification."
    
    Any idea why using
    psdi.webclient.beans.common.ClassificationBean in Assignment
    Manager causes an error when the user clicks the classification
    drilldown menu-->Clear Classification button?
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    Enable the "Search for classifications" from the Advanced Search
    
    1. Log into Maximo as maxadmin
    2. Go to Application Designer
    3. Export the workman.xml
    4. Modify dialog id searchmore as follows:
    
    From
    <dialog id="searchmore" label="More Search Fields"
    inputmode="query"
    beanclass="psdi.webclient.system.beans.QbeBean">
    
    To
    <dialog id="searchmore" label="More Search Fields"
    inputmode="query"
    beanclass="psdi.webclient.beans.common.ClassificationBean">
    
    3. Add the line to add the WO Classification field manually in
    the section for the searchmore control id

    4. Save changes
    5. Add the following relationship for WMASSIGNMENT object which
    can be done through Database Configuration:
    
    Relationship: CLASSANCESTOR
    Child Object: CLASSANCESTOR
    Where Clause: classstructureid=:classstructureid
    
    6. Import workman.xml using Application Designer.
    7. Save changes
    
    8. Open the Assignment Manager app
    9. Go to Advanced Search
    10. On the WO Classification field, use the details button to
    select a Classification
    11. On the WO Classification field, use the details button to
    select Clear Classification. Error is seen below :
    
    This throws error "BMXAA5739E - The application service does
    not have a method which can be resolved to clearClassification."
    
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:
    This throws error "BMXAA5739E - The application service does
    not have a method which can be resolved to clearClassification."
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Clear Classification should work without error
