Moving a member alias requires feeders to be reprocessed

Troubleshooting

Problem

After moving an alias value from one member to another some cells are not fed.  Unfed cells may cause consolidated cells to incorrectly display zero values and impact zero suppression.

Cause

It is possible to change to move an alias to another member to another member in the same dimension.  Moving an alias value can be achieved element attribute editor, with a direct edit to an }ElementAtrtibutes cube, or with a Turbo Integrator process.    After the alias value has been removed from the original member it can be used to another member in the same dimension.
Consider that cube rules can refer to a member by the member name or an alias.  When an is moved alias from one member to another it is required to reprocess feeders if the alias is referenced in feeder statements in cube rules.  This can be accomplished by resaving the rules from the rules editor or by using the CubeProcessFeeders Turbo Integrator function.
TM1 does not automatically force feeders to be reprocessed when an member's alias is added, modified, or removed.  If the TM1 model requires constantly changing aliases consider writing rule statements to reference member names instead of aliases.
