Problem
Workspace pa-gateway service does not start:
Cannot start service pa-gateway: failed to create endpoint pa-gateway on network nat: hns failed with error: the object already exists
Symptom
- All the other containers except pa-gateway start as expected.
- The port assigned to pa-gateway is NOT blocked.
- Cleanup of docker container network by executing the "WindowsContainerNetworking-LoggingAndCleanupAide.ps1" completes with errors as highlighted in the following screen-print:
Cause
Resolving The Problem
- Delete the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nsi\{eb004a20-9b1a-11d4-9123-0050047759bc}"
- Please consult with your System Administrator regarding the backups that need to be taken before deletion of the registry key.
- Execute the Microsoft Network Cleanup Script as per section "Issue 4: HNS Issues " from the following technote:
- https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/troubleshooting-planning-analytics-workspace-related-docker-issues
- If the script runs successfully, restart the computer and then run the paw.ps1 script from the scripts folder
