APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The mqsichangefileauth command has an option to use 'all+'
under the -p flag. Whilst this works fine on all other
platforms, on zOS '+' is reserved as a continuation in JCL.

    We
have added another option to use 'alla' rather than '+' and
'allr' rather than '-' so that
the mqsichangefileauth command can be successfully issued using
    JCL, thus:

mqsichangefileauth MQTSBRK -r iibAdmin -p alla

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The mqsichangefileauth command has an option to use 'all+'
under the -p flag. Whilst this works fine on all other
platforms, on zOS '+' is reserved as a continuation in JCL.

    We
have added another option to use 'alla' rather than 'all+' and
'allr' rather than 'all-' so that
the mqsichangefileauth command can be successfully issued using
    JCL, thus:

mqsichangefileauth MQTSBRK -r iibAdmin -p alla

Problem conclusion

  • Customers wishing to run the mqsichangefileauth command via JCL
should replace 'all+' with 'alla' and 'all-' with 'allr' , this
is required in order as '+' and '-' are both reserved in JCL.
Customers issuing the command via USS can continue to use 'all+'
    and 'all-' should they wish.
