APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When creating a new SSL Configuration, NodeDefaultKeyStore
(CellDefaultKeyStore in ND) is listed as the default "Trust
store name" (panel found under Security > SSL certificate and
key management > SSL configurations > {CONFIG_NAME} or New... ).
Having NodeDefaultTrustStore or CellDefaultTrustStore listed as
the default trust store would be more logical and would result
    in less accidental misconfigurations.

    ****************************************************************
When creating a new SSL Configuration the "Trust store name" is
set to NodeDefaultKeyStore(or CellDefaultKeyStore in ND
environments)instead of the expected default value,
    NodeDefaultTrustStore(or CellDefaultTrustStore in ND
    environments).

Problem conclusion

  • The appropriate default trust store name is set for all new SSL
configurations. The expected default value is at the top of the
    "Trust store names" dropdown list.
