Error description

  • After cancelling a Hypervisor Inventory job in IBM Spectrum
Protect Plus, the VMs might be removed from the SLA when running
a replication, copy, or archive protection job. The user sees
the following message:

8:26:36 PM CTGGA0470 Failed to find hypervisor vm <vm name> in
catalog. This selection has become invalid and will be removed.

Affected versions: V10.1.6-V10.1.8

Local fix

  • Run a hypervisor inventory job again if it was canceled. If the
VMs are already removed from the SLA, they need to be added
again manually.

Problem conclusion

  • This is fixed by not removing any resources from a cancelled
inventory task.
