IT38092: MAINTENANCE JOB LONG DURATION WHEN PROCESSING CLOUD SNAPSHOTS

Error description

• The IBM Spectrum Protect Plus maintenance job can take an
  unexpected long time depending on the environment and the
  amount of cloud snapshots to process.
  In large configurations, finding the status of the cloud
  snapshot deletions and deleting these on vSnap hosts in a
  scaled environment can last several days .
  Lab testing showed expiration processing of cloud snapshots
  could take up to 4 times longer than expiring local vSnap
  snapshots.

  IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.3 and later.

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this is was to improve the way offload vSnap
  snapshots are enumerated and processed.
