Troubleshooting
Problem
The documentation for deploying IBM Maximo Health 8.2.0 as a part of IBM Maximo Manage 8.0.0 is missing a post-activation step. After deployment and activation are completed, you must configure an integration user, create an API key, and then configure two system properties.
Resolving The Problem
- In Maximo Manage, create an integration user. The integration user must be able to use REST APIs to access work orders and service requests in Maximo Manage.
- Create the API key.
- In Maximo Manage, open the Administration Work Center.
- On the API Keys tab, click Add API key.
- In the User field, specify the user ID for the integration user and click Add.
- On the API key card, click Copy key and save the API key in a location that you can access.
- Configure the system properties.
- In Maximo Health, Maximo Predict, or Maximo Health and Predict - Utilities, from the navigation menu, select Application administration.
- In the System Properties application, in the Property Name field, search for mxe.eternaleam.
- Open the row for the mxe.externaleam.apikey system property and in the Current Value field, specify the Maximo Manage integration user's API key and then save the row.
- Open the row for the mxe.externaleam.url system property and in the Current Value field, specify the URL for Maximo Manage and then save the row.
