Error description
Add a Spectrum Virtualize storage device to Storage Insights using a user with only the monitor role. If the statistics collection hasn't already been enabled on the storage device, the performance monitoring will fail. The reason for the failure is shown as device unreachable rather than insufficient permissions or role in the data collection status. The IBM Documentation covers the actions to take to enable this, but it should have been easier to identify from the Storage Insights GUI rather than requiring log review through a support case.
