Abstract
If you add or remove processors to a logical partition (LPAR) that is running in the dedicated processor mode, and later, if you perform a Live Partition Mobility (LPM) operation, then the LPAR might hang and might require a restart operation.

Symptoms
When this issue is observed, the kernel sends lockup messages and it might become unresponsive.
Workaround
If you add or remove processors by running a dynamic logical partitioning (DLPAR) operation on an LPAR, restart the LPAR before you perform the LPM operation.
