IBM shared the latest lessons learned and best practices gathered across prior peak seasons along with an overview of issues seen over the prior year. It is imperative to understand your role in the partnership with IBM to proactively ensure performance, stability, scalability of your solution during your most critical business period of the year.  Understand your role in this journey, and how IBM can partner with you to achieve success.

 Q&A from the session-
Performance
1. Should the properties mentioned n the presentation around MQ (slide 7) be enabled only for holiday or should they be  enabled throughout the year?
You can have it enabled throughout the year, it will improve MQ put times. It is recommended to run performance tests with all of these properties enabled
2.Is there a possibility that the properties set get overridden as part of any future upgrade?
No. upgrade will not override the properties set.
3. With regard to proactively reviewing the DB queries for optimization, how do go about this without DB access?
SST provides a “long running queries” widget under Database Performance dashboard.

If you are looking to generate explain/advice for a given query then you can do so against the toolkit database
Inventory Visibility
4. What are the monitoring options available for us from IV perspective?
IBM does monitor and action if there are any delays in pushing the events.
We do have plans for dashboard for IV in SST to provide details like API hits, this is in the pipeline
5. With regard to IV events, can IBM team help with clearing the COS buckets?
No, the customer owns the COS buckets, however IBM does have a script that can help download the files locally and then delete them, you can reach out to support for this tool
SST and proactive notifications
6. Can a customer manage SST notifications Distribution List?
We recommend to you register a client-side distribution list as a stakeholder, so it can be managed outside of SST itself
7.  Is there a way for IBM to reach out operations team over the phone for proactive incidents?
It is not possible. However, you can configure the Page duty or mobile text email in SST

8.All of my team members are not receiving scheduled maintenance or upgrade notifications. Where can I see the list of contacts used for IBM notifications?
Customer SST user with org admin role can see the list of contacts in SST and edit/manage it from there.
