IT34897: The pmap command used by runmqras is incorrect on HP-UX

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When executing the following command on HP-UX to gather IBM MQ
  process
  resource usage information, the pmap command fails:
  
     runmqras -section leak
  
  The leak/pmap-leaks.stderr file generated by runmqras contains:
  
  Usage: pmap [-o options] pid1 [pid2] [pid3] ...
  

Local fix

• A syntactically correct version of the pmap command can be run
  manually, for example:
  
  ps -ef | egrep 'amqzlaa0|amqrmppa' | grep -v grep | awk '{ print
  $2 }' | xargs -I {} pmap {}
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users of the runmqras -section leak option on HP-UX will be
  affected by this problem.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The runmqras tool used to collect diagnostic data issued the
  pmap command with the -x parameter on HP-UX but this parameter
  is not available on that platform.
  

Problem conclusion

• The runmqras configuration file has been corrected to collect
  pmap output without the -x option when -section leak is
  requested on the HP-UX platform.
