APAR status

Error description

  • Error Description: IBM Spectrum Protect client automatic
    deployment hangs due to /usr file system is full.
    
    The hang caused due to target filesystem
    ("/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/IBM_ANR_UNX/packages/deploy/client/"
    folder
    resides on) is full.
    
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    
    In this case, the server activity log shows deployment schedule
    completed successful. However, error log shows
    
    disk full condition.

Local fix

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

  • After the fix, the automatic deployment will abort new packages'
    retrieve operation if there is a disk full condition on the
    target file system.
    As a result, the automatic deployment won't hang, but report a
    disk full error instead.
