APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
The purpose of this fix to prevent integers (SMALLINT, INTEGER, BIGINT) whose values fall outside their lower and upper bounds (based on the applicable power of two) from getting committed to the database. Note:In many instances this code will not be hit due to business logic as well as framework logic performing boundary checks. This functionality has been added to MboValue as a last resort / fail safe check. This function is enabled via the system property mxe.java.checkIntegerBoundaries and disabled by default.
