Cognos Framework Manager import of MS SQL Server Table with _ sign in table name fails and imported with no columns

Troubleshooting


Problem

On publishing a custom object, the following message appears:
 "BMXAA7409E - The transformed object structures cannot be published to the Cognos server. To determine the cause, check the product log files. Metadata Provider Error"
Cogserver.log entries contain the following error information:

Symptom

This is specific to Microsoft SQL Server only and cannot be reproduced in Oracle or DB2 database platforms.
 

Cause

Cognos Framework Manager fails to import columns in SQL query where the table name has an underscore (ipo_test).

Environment

Maximo 7.6.1
MS SQL Server 2016 & 2019

Resolving The Problem

Install the Cognos Analytics 11.0.13 Fix Pack 4 where issue does not occur.
