APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The db2trc command packaged with ACE returns following error


./db2trc: error while loading shared libraries: libdb2.so.1:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Local fix

  • Create following symbolic link   in  the folder /opt/IBM/ace-11
.0.0.11/server/ODBC/dsdriver/odbc_cli/clidriver/lib, as

ln -s libdb2o.so.1 libdb2.so
ln -s libdb2o.so.1 libdb2.so.1

Problem summary

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of App Connect Enterprise V11.0 using db2trc command

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The db2trc command packaged with <span
style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)"> App Connect
Enterprise V11.0 </span>returns the following error

./db2trc: error while loading shared libraries: libdb2.so.1:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been modified such that a symlink is provided to
resolve the reference to the shared library referenced by db2trc
command.
