APAR status

Error description

  • Problem Description:
    
    If an Item has a quantity requested on a second work order where
    there is not enough to fulfill the request, the work order
    status does not change to WMATL, only happens after a third work
    order is created for the same item does the status change to
    WMATL
    
    
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    
    
    1. Go To Administration > Organizations
    
    a. More Actions > Work Order Options > Other Organization
    Options
    
    Ignore storeroom availability for work order status? - uncheck
    
    b. More Actions > Inventory Options > Inventory Defaults
    
    c. Negative Balance Options section
    
    - Negative Current Balance:
    
    Disallow Negative Available Balance - selected
    
    - Negative Available Balance:
    
    Allow Negative Available Balance - selected
    
    
    
    2. Go To Inventory > Inventory and select an Item with a balance
    0f 2
    
    Item: 39224  Brake Shoes
    
    Storeroom: CENTRAL
    
    Available Balance Summary section
    
    Current Balance: 2
    
    Available Balance: 2
    
    Other Balance Summary Information section
    
    Quantity Currently Reserved: 0
    
    Hard Reserved Quantity: 0
    
    
    
    3. Create a Work Order, on the Plans tab - Materials, add a new
    row for item, enter in the Storeroom, have the required date be
    now, and a quantity of 2.
    
    Created WO: 2811 testing for WMATL

    Click Materials sub tab
    
    Click New Row
    
    Item: 39224
    
    Quantity: 2
    
    Storeroom: CENTRAL

    4. Change Status from WAPPR to APPR and then to WSCH
    
    
    
    5. From the Item, go to Inventory, the Item now has a current
    balance of 2, available balance of 0.
    
    a. From the Item: 39224 > Go To Inventory > Inventory tab
    
    Current Balance: 2
    
    Quantity Available: 0
    
    Quantity Currently Reserved: 2
    
    Hard Reserved Quantity: 2
    
    
    
    6. Create another new Work Order, on the Plans tab - Materials,
    add a new row for same item, enter in the Storeroom, required
    date be now, and a quantity of 2.
    
    Created WO: 2812 testing for WMATL 2

    7. Change Status from WAPPR to APPR and then WSCH
    
    
    
    8.Check in Inventory and the Item still has a current balance of
    2, available balance of -2.
    
    From the Item: 39224 > Go To Inventory > Inventory tab
    
    Current Balance: 2
    
    Quantity Available: -2
    
    Quantity Currently Reserved: 4
    
    Hard Reserved Quantity: 4
    
    
    
    9. Now create another Work Order with the same item number in
    the Plans tab, but put a quantity of 3, change the Work Order
    status to APPR and the status will automatically change to
    WMATL.
    
    Created WO: 2812 testing on WMATL 3
