Abstract

The Support Lifecycle for the IBM Security Verify Access portfolio of products is outlined in this technote.

Content

Support accepts support cases (from the web or phone) from current Subscription & Support customers, on any version that has not reached its End of Support date.  For example, today support cases (from the web or phone) are accepted on all supported versions (see table below). However, defect and security updates are only provided on the current patched release (see table below). 
Appliance Hardware Support
  • Appliance hardware support lifecycle is detailed here.
  • Appliance firmware support adheres to the policy detailed below.
Software Support
  • End of Support (EOS) is the time after which no further Defect corrections or Security Updates are made available. It is recommended that customers subscribe to 'My Notifications' to receive daily or weekly notifications of technical support information such as downloads, tips, technical notes, and publications.
  • Migration support to the most current release from any previous software version is available to customers current on Subscription & Support. Detailed migration instructions can be found here.
  • The “Current Patched (Fixed) Release” is inclusive of any published fix packs and Interim Fixes. More details can be found here or on Fix Central.
  • Customers are expected to operate on the latest fix pack and available interim fix in order to receive full defect support and protection from security updates. For example, the “Current Fixed Version” of V10.0 would be considered something based on v10.0.8 plus any published fixpacks or interim fixes. 
    Fix Central should be consulted for the absolute latest available versions.
