APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The backup of a Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft SQL Server
  using IBM Spectrum Protect Plus can stop with the message :
  "Failed to get remote execution results from server".
  The run-time conditions that cause this error are
  unpredictable.
  
  Here is an example for a Microsoft SQL backup job log :

  In the  command.log found in the job log bundle, write I/O
  errors will be seen :

Problem conclusion

• The backup module was terminating when the backup target LUN was
  disconnected multiple times and reconnect attempts were
  attempted multiple times. Fixed the issue with reconnecting code
  and the backup completes successfully if the reconnect is
  successful or fails with proper error message if the LUN cannot
  be reconnected.
