    ****************************************************************
An IBM Informix Product was purchased by HCL and
rebranded to "OneDB Server". Because of the changed product
name, the database type is not assigned correctly in WebSphere
Application Server. The result is many messages similar to the
following appear in the SystemOut.log file:
    [9/4/20 18:20:45:959 EDT] 00000129
ConnectionWra E Could not determine database type: Not a
recognized database type => OneDB Server
The database type assignment defaults to DB2, and though this
appears to work properly, it depends entirely on how closely
OneDB Server matches with DB2. Possible problems might occur
in cases where OneDB Server does not align with DB2.

Problem conclusion

  • The application server code has been updated to include OneDB
Server as a valid database type.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix packs
8.5.5.20 and 9.0.5.8. For more information, see 'Recommended
