IT36365: DB2 REQUIREMENTS DO NOT SHOW THAT ONLY A SINGLE DB IS SUPPORTED PER DIRECTORY

Error description

• During IBM Spectrum Protect Plus inventory the following warning
  will displayed:

  up as it is ineligible for the backup operation.

  In the manuals the warning CTGGH0098 is listed as:

  User response
  Check that the SYSTOOLSPACE tablespace has been created
  successfully. If the tablespace has not been created, create the
  SYSTOOLSPACE tablespace manually and rerun the inventory.

Problem conclusion

• Db2 does not allow creating snapshot backups if a database is
  not unique within its volume directory.  For that reason, IBM
  Spectrum Protect Plus check during inventory if the Db2 database
  is eligible for snapshot backup operation. The following
  restriction will be added in the IBM Db2 database backup and
  restore requirements: IBM Spectrum Protect Plus V10.1.8:
  
  "Ensure that the protected Db2 database does not share the same
  local database directory with other Db2 databases.
  Note: The snapshot backup will fail if a Db2 database is not
  unique within its local database directory, this a DB2
  restriction."
