How to Customize Classes with Custom Styles for reuse in other Reports

Troubleshooting


Problem

If you have Styles that are commonly applied to Report objects that you'd like to reuse in other report, you can create a custom Local Classes with styles applied and saved it for reuse in other Reports.

Resolving The Problem

Create a blank report with Local Classes with Styles applied, save it then reference that report to use the styles in other reports.
Steps:
1. Create new blank Report and click the Report object and select Classes

2. Locate and select a Global Class Extension and drag it to Local Classes pane
Example: List column title cell
3. In the Class Properties panel give it a Name and Label that will be used to identify the custom Class

4. Define the properties to customize the style of the Class

5. Save the Report with the customized Class as, for example, Custom Class Template
6. Create or open an existing report to apply this Local Class to the Column titles
7. Select the Report object and in properties click "Report style reference", check "Apply styles from report" and browse to the Custom Class Template Report

8. Add a List and some Columns to the new Report
9. Select one or more Column Titles in the List and in Properties panel click Classes

10. Select the customized Local Class and click the arrow to add it to the Selected classes
11. The custom Class Style will be applied to the Column Titles

Add additional customized Classes for the same Global Class and other Global Classes in the Custom Class Template to re-use styles for various report objects in other reports.
