APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When changing a property of a plan in the API Designer and
saving in the UI, a property "name" is automatically generated
for the plan. This leads to a validation error by the apic.exe
command line tool. Therefore the API can not be
deployed.

"Error validating .\test-test_1.0.0.yaml product
definition

- Additional property name is not allowed (context:
(root).plans, line: 0, col: 0)"

This means that the user has
to manually delete this "name" property before being able to
deploy.

Local fix

Problem summary


    

  • When users create a product and make a change in plan, the new
property name field is generated and that is causing validating
issue from CLI.

  • Issue is addressed in API Connect v2018.4.1.16
