IT35836: API CONNECT GATEWAY SERVICE CAN GET STUCK IN A NON-RESPONSIVE STATE WHEN DRR FINISH NOT DETECTED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If API Connect Gateway Service (apic-gw-service) is restarted
  while it is processing a Dynamic Re-registration and
  Reconfiguration (DRR), it can get stuck waiting for that DRR to
  complete.

  Because the
  apic-gw-service was restarted in the middle of the DRR, that
  DRR will never complete.
  

Local fix

• Trigger another DRR, wait for "Registration configuration was
  successful" message from apic-gw-service, and then enable any
  newly deployed gateway extensions by restarting the
  apic-gw-service
  

Problem summary

• The GatewayExtensionDeployer may wait for DRR to complete
  unexpectedly if APIC Gateway Service restarts in the middle of a
  DRR.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed in 10.0.1.3
