Planning Analytics Workspace: Error Occurs When User Opens An Existing Cube View Or Creates A Cube New View: User Does Not Have Read Access (rte 34)

Problem

In Planning Analytics Workspace,  the following error occurs for a non-administrator user when opening an existing cube view or creating a cube new view.
If the user has DataAdmin role, the cube view opens fine.

Symptom

ERROR:
Unable to modify the view hierarchy. SELECT: user does not have read access (rte 34)

Cause

Error will occur if any of the dimensions that make up the cube view have no element security set for the user that is erroring.

Resolving The Problem

In Planning Analytics Workspace or Architect, confirm if element security is set properly.

STEPS:
1.Confirm if the user has None access to all the members (elements) of any of the Dimension that make up the Cube view

2.If any dimensions are found with no element security set, provide the appropriate access to the group the user is a member
