Error description

  • InvocationTargetException is thrown during CqmMhstv dsect
    initialization in case when host variable has length = 0,
    indicator is set to 0 (not FFFF = -1 which tells that host

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Alerts with hostvars with length = 0 *
    * and encoding = EBCDIC do not come to *
    * Alerts board in CAE Browser Client. *
    *                      InvocationTargetException is thrown     *
    * in CAE Server log. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    CAE Server could not encode the hostvars text with length = 0
    and encoding = EBCDIC sent from CAE Agent.
    InvocationTargetException is thrown and the user do not see
    such alerts on Alerts board.

Problem conclusion

  • This behavior was fixed. CAE Server can process those hostvars
    and the alerts appear on the Alert board.
