Error description

  • Message IGD17501I ATTEMPT TO OPEN A HFS FILE FAILED, RETURN CODE
IS (00000081) REASON CODE IS (0594003D) occurs if attempting to
start the CAE Server on USS when the server logs directory has
    not been created.

The comments in SCQMSAMP member CQMCAESV are being updated to
clarify that the CAE Server logs directory must be created
explicitly by the customer, since the CAE Server itself does not
    create the logs directory.

The convention is to put the log directory in an entirely
separate HFS (or ZFS) from where the Server is installed. This
is to prevent any log overflows from affecting the availability
of HFS space for other server purposes.
