APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
This APAR addresses memory growth that can occur in SQLCodes cache when using the SQL Codes perspective in the Activity Browser, that may result in increased java heap usage and cause a memory shortage in the CAE Server. . The following error messages may occur: CAE Agent: "CQMC0406E Failed to send to send cleanup tail to server on connection.. " . CAE Web Browser: "Error Retrieving Text: CQMC2500E:Available memory 108,240 bytes is less than the operating margin 8,000,000 bytes. No data retrieved." . Please note that these same symptoms can also occur if there are too many alerts.
Local fix
Recycle the CAE Server to free the memory allocated for the SQLCodes cache. --- OR ---- Activity Browser has button De-Cache in perspective SqlCodes (between labels Status and Path). Pressing that button clears cache and frees memory. But it can be done only in the webclient session which was used to load data. So, if clearing caches from currently active webclient sessions is not sufficient, the CAE Server will need to be recycle. . Clearing the SqlCodes cache before logging out of a webclient session can avoid the need to recycle the CAE Server.
