Problem
In the IBM® MDM Publisher capability of IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management, the MDM Publisher user interface can experience very slow response times. The user interface needs to be configured to avoid too many retry attempts.
Symptom
By default, the MDM Publisher user interface does not have any timeout value configured. The default time out is 0, which means that the user interface will call a previously executed API again if the previous call does not return response in the expected time frame. This usually happens when the MDM Publisher response takes longer than expected.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve this issue, configure the user interface's timeout property for Axioms, which is being used to call the MDM Publisher RESTful API services, to avoid multiple retries if the MDM Publisher response is very slow.
