Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All the MQ Managed .NET Client for Distributed Transactional applications. Platforms affected: Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: WebSphere MQ Managed .NET Client, when enlisting into ambient transaction was providing a new RMID every time. When there are huge number of transactions, we have identified that MSDTC was leaking memory. When MQ Managed .NET client enlisting into a new transaction happens in a loop(that is making a MQ PUT/GET call under new transaction scope), the memory leak is evident and can be observed from Task Manager's process private bytes.
Problem conclusion
The MQ Managed .NET client code has been modified to use single RMID for any number of transaction enlistments. At version 7.5, this issue is resolved by applying IC92296 --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v7.1 7.1.0.4 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
