  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * CICS APAR PH30252 allows extra                               *
  * fields to be passed to Db2 on signon                         *
  * to help identify the origin of                               *
  * certain CICS requests.  Db2 must be                          *
  * modified accordingly to support                              *
  * these extra fields.                                          *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  New function is required in Db2 to process the extra fields
  provided by CICS on the signon call to Db2.

Temporary fix

Comments

• To support the new function in this scenario, new identifying
  client information specific to this flow will be provided by
  CICS to Db2.  The additional client information will be
  recorded by Db2 as default values for the CURRENT
  CLIENT_ACCTNG and CURRENT CLIENT APPLNAME special registers
  and will also be accessible in Db2 accounting trace records
  (IFCID 0003).
