Why Is the Object Store /CodeModules Folder Not Created

Question & Answer

Question

For my Cloud Pak for Automation (CP4A) deployment using Operator, I have configured data under the "initialize_configuration" section of the custom resource to create and initialize a domain and object store.  The object store is created but there is no CodeModules folder under the root folder.
The /CodeModules folder is needed in order to successfully run the IBM Enterprise Records (IER) Configure Workflows task.

Cause

The CodeModules folder is an Administration Console for Content Platform Engine (ACCE) artifact.  When ACCE is used to create an object store, it automatically creates the /CodeModules folder.  The server itself does not require any such thing, code modules can be filed anywhere or not filed at all.
The CP4A Operator does not automatically create the CodeModules folder, this is per design.

Answer

Create the /CodeModules folder manually using ACCE.
  1. Log in to ACCE as an object store administrator, e.g. the creator of the object store (see Creator property of the object store).
  2. Navigate to the object store Root folder.
  3. Create a new folder with the following information:
    Folder name: CodeModules
    Class: Folder
For all others, accept the defaults.
  4. Open the newly created folder "/CodeModules".
  5. Click on the Properties tab.
  6. Change the IsHiddenContainer property value from False to True.
  7. Click Save
