IT31585: VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS VSPHERE PLUGIN DISPLAYS AN ERROR UNDER 'STATUS' IN THE BACKUP SERVER TAB

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the Data Protection for Virtual Environments plugin
  to manage backup servers, and the Spectrum Protect server
  version is pre 7.1.8 or 8.1.2, the "Backup Server" tab will show
   in error. The error is displayed in the "Status" column, as a
  red exclamation accompanied by the word "Error".
  
  The messages.log will show the following :

  The Server activity log might show the following warning message
  
  ANR0440W Protocol error on session 12402 for node  () - invalid
  verb header received.
  
  The above error will cause the Plugin to not work properly as
  the admin ID will not be able to authenticate with the server to
  retrieve the Datamovers and Schedules information.
