APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The entries in the client id combo box of portal Try It are
    showing null when the application has credentials with no
    summary.
    - Reproduction steps
    -----------------------
    1. Create an application
    2. Subscribe to an API
    3. add a second set of credentials to the application
    4. Got to portal try it of API
    5. Open list of combo box for client id -> two entries of
    "<appname> - null"
    Result:
    It is not possible to decide, which entry is the one I want to
    use for an API invocation
    

Local fix

  • Make sure that the application credentials are created with a
    summary.
    

Problem summary

  • Application credentials that did not have a summary set were
    shown as blank or NULL in the client ID selection menu in the
    API test tool.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fix is targeted for API Connect v2018.4.1.15
