APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When you try to enable the encoding on API properties, the
properties values in the api source shows the property encoded
to 'true' but the value is not at all encoded.
- Reproduction steps
-----------------------
1- Create an api
2- Go to the Properties in the Designer
3- Add a new property called 'TestEncoding'
4- Add a default value 'val1'
5- Check the 'Encoded' option
6- Define a new catalog value for one of your catalog and call
it 'testvalueforcatalog'
Result:
The value is not encoded in the UI nor in the source and you
see:

   value: val1
   encoded: true

    TestEncoding: testvalueforcatalog

Problem summary


    

  • The 'Encode' checkbox on the Edit Property page in the Design
view of API Manager/Designer was not performing any function
when checked.
