Inspection results are not exported

Troubleshooting


Problem

When inspection data is exported from an IBM®  Maximo®  Manage enterprise system into IBM Maximo®  Health or IBM Maximo®  Predict, inspection results are not updated in the applications. For example, completed inspections do not appear in the Asset timeline card.

Resolving The Problem

If you are using XML, you can enable inspection results to be exported by completing the following steps:

  1. Install the latest fix pack for the Maximo integration framework.
  2. Upgrade your Maximo Health or Maximo Predict application to the latest version and patch.
  3. Complete the following steps in your Maximo Manage enterprise system.
    1.  In the Object Structures application, create a new object structure.
      1. Click the new record icon.
      2. In the Object Structure field, specify MHINSPECTIONRES.
      3. In the Consumed By field, select INTEGRATION.
      4. Ensure that the Configurable checkbox is selected.
      5. In the Source Objects for table, create an MHINSPECTIONRES root object.
        1. In the Object field, specify INSPECTIONRESULT.
        2. Click Save.
      6. In the Source Objects for table, create a INSPRESULTSTATUS child object.
        1. In the Object field, specify INSPRESULTSTATUS.
        2. In the Parent Object field, specify INSPECTIONRESULT.
        3. In the Relationship field, specify INSPRESULTSTATUS_INSTATUS.
        4. Click Save.
      7. Save the object structure.
      8. In the More Actions menu, click Configure Object Structure Security.
      9. On the Configure Object Structure Security dialog box, in the Authorization Name field, select MHINSPECTION.
      10. Ensure that the Use Object Structure for Authorization Name checkbox is selected and then click OK.
    2. In the Publish Channels application, create a new publish channel.
      1. Click the new publish channel icon.
      2. In the Publish Channel field, specify MHINSPECTIONRESInterface.
      3. In the Object Structure field, specify MHINSPECTIONRES.
      4. Save the publish channel.
    3. In the External Systems application, open the HEALTH external system.
      1. On the Publish Channels tab, click Select Channel.
      2. In the Select Publish Channel dialog box, select the MHINSPECTIONRESInterface publish channel, and then click OK.
      3. Save the external system.

Use the event listener for the MHINSPECTIONRESInterface publish channel to export inspection results.

To verify exported inspection results, use the following REST API call. Replace the host and port variables with your post and port:

http://host:port/maximo/oslc/os/MHINSPECTIONRES?lean=1&oslc.select=*&_format=xml
